DR. ALFRED C. SCHNUR, JR.
President
Al received his doctorate from Louisiana State University in 1991 in Industrial and Organizational Psychology with a minor in Management. Over the past ten years, Al has consulted in a variety of areas in the Human Capital Management arena. He began his career working as a consulting psychologist in the executive assessment field, having completed over 300 evaluations for companies such as Alcoa, Giant Eagle, Mine Safety Appliance, USX and PNC corporation while working for Psychological Consultants to Industry in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
In 1995, Al expanded his skill set by accepting a position as a consultant with Development Dimensions International (DDI) also in Pittsburgh. While there, Al managed large scale staffing projects both nationally and internationally for companies such as BASF, General Motors, Owens-Corning, Colgate, Caterpillar, Kraft, Cooper Tire to name but a few. As project director, Al was responsible for the design and development of processes that included testing, screening and behavioral assessment/interviewing. Over 100,000 candidates participated in programs designed by Al. In addition, Al designed and implemented training and development programs that included performance management, multirater/360 assessment, developmental planning and employee/leadership development training.
During the late 1990's Al moved with DDI to be closer to his customers in the Southern U.S. and Americas, first in Atlanta, Georgia then later in Dallas, Texas. During this time, Al became very interested in how the Internet could help streamline the previously costly and labor-intensive activity of employee assessment. Al was deeply involved in the design and development of DDI's Source2Hire process and used an earlier version of this program to help Fluor Daniel hire staff for a start up covering over 20 locations. This interest led Al to expand his skill set once again, by accepting a Director Level position with an Internet start up called ePredix in San Francisco in early 2000.
At ePredix, as Director of Online alliances, Al was heavily involved with a wide variety of vendors including those not traditionally associated with I/O psychology (e.g., recruiters, web posting and hosting, verification providers). Al thoroughly reviewed the marketplace and forged alliances with "best in breed" SERVICE providers in advertising/posting. In addition, Al worked closely with the ePredix direct channel and with (part owner) Personnel Decisions International (PDI) sales channel to present ePredix stand alone and integrated capabilities in screening and selecting candidates for companies.
Currently, Al is President of PCI. In this role, Al consults with companies to review their staffing and assessment processes and to provide consulting and service delivery around key Human Resource areas including:

After graduating from college Dennis went to the Navy Officer's Candidate school and spent the next ten years as a supply officer. After his discharge he went to graduate school, and got his Ph.D. Since then, he has held the following jobs:
Development Dimensions International.
- DDI is a consulting firm in Pittsburgh, PA that specializes in developing state-of-the-art personnel selection and training programs. Dennis has specialized in developing assessment centers for a variety of clients.
Psychological Consultants to Industry
- PCI is a consulting firm that specializes in supervisory, management, and executive assessment.
Partners In Change
- PIC is a small consulting firm that specializes in industrial training system design and evaluation.
California University of Pennsylvania
- Hired as a Professor at California University of Pennsylvania in 1991.
There are two reasons why Dennis had chosen Industrial Psychology. When the U.S. Navy and Dennis decided to part company, he went to a career counselor in Philadelphia. The counselor suggested that Dennis had the interests and ability to become a Psychologist, Psychiatrist, Computer Programmer, or Librarian. Dennis chose industrial psychology even though at the time he was not sure what an industrial psychologist was.
The second reason was the fact that his Mother returned to graduate school when she was 58 and got her Ph.D. in Anthropology when she was 62. Dennis decided that if his Mom could do this, he could do it.
