PCI's assessment process provides an extremely comprehensive evaluation of the whole person by assessing four
key areas that can contribute to success in a position or prevent it: Cognitive Abilities and Thinking Style,
Leadership Style, Interpersonal Style, and Work Style. Participants complete a several-hour assessment battery,
remotely (via the Internet) or in our office, which consists of numerous intellectual, leadership, and personality
measures that are professionally developed, scientific, and valid. After testing is complete, individuals go through
a one-hour, in-depth phone or face-to-face interview with a senior assessor who draws upon the test results to probe
into their work history, motivations, leadership style, strengths, and development opportunities. The assessor then
integrates all of the information, taking into account your organization's culture and the key competencies that are
needed to be successful in a particular position. The resulting product is a comprehensive report that provides
invaluable narrative information, an overall recommendation, a competency rating graph, follow-up interview probes,
and verbal feedback from the assessor to the hiring manager. For internal assessments, we offer an optional 360
Feedback tool to provide additional data to support promotional decisions. A typical process is depicted below.
